WAG REACHES AN AGREEMENT… 2024 SAG-AFTRA STRIKE SUSPENDED

UPDATE: SAG-AFTRA strike with negotiations over a possible agreement.

UPDATE: On July 26th 2024, SAG-AFTRA called a strike on July 26 at 12:01 a.m against video game companies in an attempt to renegotiate its Interactive Media Agreement. Source: DEADLINE

Recently in the news, SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14th 2023. At issue, the writers, artists and actors of Hollywood took immediate action after negotiations over residuals broke down with Hollywood executives.

Recently, WAG reached a tentative three-year agreement with studio executives in Hollywood regarding AI and writers’ room staffing levels.

Though SAG-AFTRA is still on strike, the agreement is a positive step towards ending the strikes and resuming Hollywood productions. We think some important work has been made and will follow this story.

Recently in the news, SAG-AFTRA has been on strike since July 14th 2023. At issue, the writers, artists and actors of Hollywood took immediate action after negotiations over residuals broke down with Hollywood executives.

Already, the future of the MCU slate is up in the air with multiple series being pushed back from 2023 to 2024. Also, WB Discovery reported a $500 million loss due to failed negotiations. Though we think the MCU and the DCU are in trouble, we do think they can come to a certain resolution of the issue.

WE WISH BEST OF LUCK TO JONATHAN MAJORS

Recently in the news, Jonathan Majors has been in legal trouble over allegations of domestic abuse. While we take these allegations very seriously, we do believe in due process and that he may be innocent until proven guilty.

Already, the future of the MCU is up in the air and The Marvels movie this year has been pushed back to a November 10th release. Though we think the MCU is in trouble, we do think they can come to a certain resolution of the issue.

Here, we wish the best of luck to Jonathan Majors and the MCU and look forward to the Phase 5 and Phase 6 movies along with the Kang Dynasty with the actor or a new one.

WE SAY THANKS FOR THE DCEU…

The Flash Movie releases June 16th and is thought to reboot the DC Universe as an homage to Flashpoint (2011). While the DC Extended Universe was not well-received, it did have a passionate following.

As the Snyderverse comes to a close, we thank Warner Bros. and Zack Snyder for a thrilling ride and choosing actors that carry over to the DC Universe.

Hopefully, the DC Universe will correct the storytelling and editing issues from the previous universe.
