SPIDER-MAN MOMENT

In Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars (1984), the godlike being named Beyonder brings #spiderman and the heroes to do battle against the villains on Battleworld. In all-out battles, skirmishes and factions, #captain-america leads the heroes against Doctor Doom and his forces.

With the heroes finally turning the tide at Doombase, Spider-Man makes the discovery that will change his life. When he encounters the alien symbiote in a room, he bonds to it and fashions his black costume.

Truly a life-changing moment with the wall-crawler at the height of his popularity in comics.

SHE-HULK’S WORST MOMENT…

Though she controls her rage better than her cousin, #she-hulk does have problems. Like the Hulk, she changes into a monster in fits of rage that often lead to destruction. At the same time, She-Hulk has also learned control and is able to be in her giant form without any problems with violence.

Though her WORST MOMENT came during the Avengers Disassembled saga when Scarlet Witch decided to destroy the New Avengers and re-make reality. In the opening issues, a mind-controlled She-Hulk attacked the Vision and ripped him in half!

Fan reaction was surprised and comments thought Brian Michael Bendis had a faux-pas. Nevertheless, we think the Jade Giant was able to recover with time after the crisis passed. These days, She-Hulk is her lovable self again.

Giant-Man and the Avengers Academy…

Hank Pym has accomplished great wonders but he has also done some unforgivable things. Since Ant-Man: Quantumania (2023) , which is partly based on the Avengers: End Times (2012) comic, the hero has gained in popularity. At the same time, we would love to see the character’s achievements more recognized and the Avengers Academy in the MCU.

When Giant-Man founded the Avengers Academy, the cosmic being called Eternity dubbed him Earth’s Scientist Supreme for discovering Overspace. Importantly, Pym set up the Academy to prepare Earth for the future by training a younger generation of superheroes.

After Civil War and the Death of Captain America, Marvel Earth needed leadership and a future. Certainly, Ant-Man or Giant-Man needs redemption for his failures.

FAVORITE SHE-HULK MOMENT…

Fantastic Four (1984) #265. Marvel Comics.

Fans LOVE She-Hulk! Her positive attitude, energetic personality and her fashion make her a fan-favorite. Importantly, as a lawyer she has defended mutants against the Mutant Registration Act, something which not even the Avengers have involved themselves in. Perhaps, the moment that has really made an impression is when She-Hulk Joins the Fantastic Four on Battleworld. A favorite moment since the heroine came into her own and was finally introduced into Marvel’s first family.

We loved that moment to give Ben a chance at introspection and for She-Hulk to truly make an impact on the people of New York. Though she is as strong as Thing, she may not be as tough. Nonetheless, her Multi-Planetary-Level Super-Strength is more than enough.

Let’s make this The Year of She-Hulk!
