This Animate! Raleigh 2024, we begin our winter sales with a titanic battle. In Avengers (1969) #70, the Squadron Sinister created by the Grandmaster makes its first appearance against the Avengers. Though Thor wins against Hyperion, the fighter has been shown as Thor’s toughest foe, and has been admitted to be stronger. In their battle, Thor wins by incapacitation with his hammer.
During the Battle Ranker, we had fans vote on Thor vs Hyperion. In the Battle Ranker, we have listed all their major fights which Thor has won with or without help. Also, there are multiple versions of Hyperion. In our list, we have the Earth-616 facsimile and the Earth-712 version.

For the most part, all versions of Hyperion have shown to be stronger or as strong as Thor. For example, Hyperion is capable of catching Thor’s hammer and stunning the Thunder God with a blow. In Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, Hyperion has been shown to be an Avengers-level villain on his own.
