is darkseid a multiverse threat
Last year, we compared DC and Marvel’s A-List villains with DC vs Marvel: Darkseid, The Boss vs My Boy Thanos! In the two most important crossovers at DC and Marvel since the 1990s, Darkseid claimed the Anti-Life Equation in Final Crisis (2009) and Thanos claimed the Infinity Gauntlet (1991).
Per my calculations, we assessed a formidability rating of 79 to Darkseid with the ALE and of 71 to Thanos with the IG. In our verdict, we noted that both villains differ in the scale of their powers. Darkseid, the God of Evil, threatens the DC multiverse and Thanos, the Mad Titan, threatens the Marvel Universe.
Importantly, since the #new-52, a new characteristic of Darkseid has emerged. When the villain claims the Anti-Life Equation and defeats the Quintessence, he reaches his true form. As true form Darkseid, the villain has the power to destroy the DC multiverse.
