In Wonder Woman (2010) #41, in a battle against Power Girl in Washington D.C., the Amazon Princess restrains the Kryptonian warrior.

In our Battles Of The Week: Power Girl vs Wonder Woman (Heroine vs Heroine), Wonder Woman fights Power Girl in an all-out battle. With a Planetary-Level Strength Class, the Kryptonian is a match for Wonder Woman. Though Wonder Woman is in the Limitless-Level in Strength Class, she was matched by Power Girl’s greater Super-Speed and Warrior-Level of Fighting Skills.

These reasons explain that in Wonder Woman (2010) #41, Wonder Woman can have the upper-hand on Power Girl with base Planetary-Level Super-Strength and superior Warrior Madness Fighting Skills. Thus, she would definitely not need the help of the Amazons in order to fight Power Girl who has Field Experience in Intelligence.

In the The Secret of the Cheetah story arc, #wonder-woman and the #justice-league must battle to save Cheetah from a curse. In Justice League (2012) #13, in a battle against Cheetah in Central Park, the feline injures Wonder Woman and the Justice League rescues her.

In our Battles Of The Week: Wonder Woman vs Cheetah (Hero vs Villain), Cheetah defeats Wonder Woman and the Justice League quickly. With a Planetary-Level Strength Class, the feline is more than a match for Wonder Woman. Though Wonder Woman is rated Planetary-Level in Super-Strength, she was defeated by Cheetah’s greater Super-Speed and Warrior Madness-Level of Fighting Skills.

These reasons explain that in Wonder Woman, ‘Justice League’ Vol 2 #11, Wonder Woman can have the upper-hand on #superman and #green-lantern with Super Speed and superior Fighting Skills though she cannot match Superman in Super-Strength. Thus, she would definitely need the help of the #justice-league in order to fight Cheetah who is a Genius in Intelligence.

One of the supernatural stories in the Rise of the Olympian storyline of Wonder Woman series which shows an explosive fight between DC’s top Olympian champions. Though the outcome of the battle is dramatic, we can see Genocide defeating Wonder Woman.

We think Wonder Woman truly is more than a match for Genocide, since she is an Amazon. Though with more knowledge and battle experience, the Amazon Princess should conquer the opponent. Loved our battle?

how to scale a superhero power level

With our recent competitions, we have pitted popular heroes from DC and Marvel against each other. Importantly, we use the Power Level Wiki to rate power levels in The Mightiest Punch!

Our theory is to apply laws of science to the fictional universes in comics. Though the feats are themselves impossible in scientific terms, we adapt our science to comics.

For example, we assume that in Superman: Doomed, Wonder Woman’s magical sword cleaves off electrons by thermionic emission against Doomsday’s tungsten-like skin. Read our explanation for the assumption below from the wiki:

In the issue, Doomsday survives Superman’s heat vision. In Superman Unchained, it is stated that Superman’s heat vision can reach 5000 degrees Celsius, the temperature of the surface of the sun. Let’s calculate the heat energy of Superman’s heat vision.

However, there are no metals on Earth that can withstand the temperature of the sun’s surface. The metal with the highest melting point is Tungsten with 3900 degrees Celsius. We will assume Superman heated Doomsday close to that temperature to defeat it. Tungsten has a specific heat capacity of 130 J/kg°C. Let’s show the results from the Omni-Calculator.

We also assume that Hulk’s skin has a high boiling point, so Superman’s heat vision generates a City-Block to City-Level heat of vaporization to burn him in DC Versus Marvel.

Hence, we assume the character’s skins are made of super dense metal alloys that render them impervious to heat, injury or stress. At the same time, we know there is no real way to explain these scientifically, they are merely assumptions that help us rate their #power-levels.

So the steps for scaling:

• Apply the laws of science to a fictional universe.
• Make assumptions and estimate the character’s durability in terms of durable materials.
• Apply a power scale to calculate the power level.
• Compare with a natural phenomenon or man-made invention for scaling.
